I was inspired to start Nourish and Flourish after I discovered an encouraging community of healthy living bloggers in early 2010. Since then, I’ve learned, grown, and cultivated amazing friendships with people all over the world!


The purpose of this site is to chronicle my journey through my 20’s, and to share my passion for healthy living–particularly good food, fitness, travel, and holistic health–with you. I strive for balance in life—balance rooted in sound nutrition, regular exercise, laughter and occasional culinary indulgences. Life isn’t all about physiological health though,  so don’t be surprised if I include a dash of celebrity gossip along with my afternoon almond butter cookie, or a picture of the new pair of pink heels I purchased after a sweaty gym sesh.

I see each day as an opportunity to learn something new, to laugh, to grow, to be challenged. I realize that it’s important to prepare for the future, however I think savoring the little moments in each day is what makes living truly enjoyable. Life brings about many twists and turns, but isn’t that what makes the journey exciting?

In the past, I had an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise. However I am so grateful for that challenging period because it enabled me to realize the interconnectedness of mind, body and soul.  I believe that in order to reach optimal health–in other words, to FLOURISH–we need to NOURISH ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. If we do these things, we can find the balance that we all crave!


However, maintaining a “perfect” balance is unattainable because we’re all imperfect! But if we stay in tune with our physical, emotional and spiritual needs, we will experience REAL joy, health and happiness.
