Happy Friday, and greetings from Idaho!
I’ve been in Boise visiting my Mom since Wednesday, and have lots of fun news to share!
Topped off with this newly-aqcuired gem.
I mean, that’s all people in Idaho do, right? They farm potatoes and eat potatoes.
Pffsh. Yeah, I used to think so too. 😉
However, yesterday I discovered a natural grocery store that was filled with a crazy-exciting selection of non-potato culinary shenanigans.
I could have been in and out of there sooner, had I not stopped every five seconds to take photos, but I was over-the-moon with excitement and needed to document my finds to share with you.
Among those items was the aforementioned peanut butter, which I opened upon arriving home. The first taste was done as all first tastes should be–straight up, by the spoonful.
I then made two-ingredient cookie dough which contained two tablespoons of coconut flour, a teaspoon of mini dark chocolate chips, and a few drops of stevia. Okay, I know that’s three ingredients, but two sounds more wow-worthy.
What really brought the wow though, was that coconut peanut butter. Friends, this stuff is amazing. There’s no way I’m going to be able to ration it like a lady.
While I was shopping, I found a few other note-worthy items:
**Dark Chocolate Stevia**
Ingredient list: organic ginger, citric acid.
I tried the ginger juice in my tea last night, and it was incredible! I also provided a fun zing to my dinner salad. I’m looking forward to incorporating it into fish or chicken marinades.
**Rise Almond Honey Protein Bar**
Only three ingredients? Yes please!
**Nut butter travel packets**
Artisana makes butters out of nearly every nut on this earth. I snagged five on-the-go packets: walnut butter, cashew butter, raw almond butter, coconut butter, and cashew-coconut butter. I wish I could share these with this girl. 😉
**Theo Dark Chocolate Salted Almond and Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars**
Both of these are bars are amazing. And addicting.
In other news, look what I found en route to Boise in the Salt Lake City airport!
When I arrived at my mom’s house, I found these Hawaiian goodies were waiting for me.
BRIDESMAID DRESS AND WEIGHTY ISSUES
My best friend from high school, Katie, is getting married next summer, and I’m going to be the maid of honor. A week ago, Katie called me to let me know that the bridesmaid dresses were on sale for just a few more hours. I quickly ordered my dress and prayed for the best.
I had the dress sent to my mom’s house, since I’ll be seeing lots of Katie while I’m in Boise. She hasn’t seen the dresses in person yet, so I figured it would be fun to show her.
Yesterday I tried it on and quickly realized I had a problem.
Don’t let my smiley face deceive you! 😉 While I love the color and style (perfect for Katie’s sunny personality!), the dress is a bit snug around the torso and boobies. And by a bit snug I mean, I can barely breathe.
I ordered the dress one size larger than I thought I’d need, but apparently these dresses run super small. I can’t return the dress because it’s a sale item and JCrew is completely out of stock of the size I need. Gulp.
My plans to pack on at least 5-10 more pounds of muscle next summer don’t bode well for fitting into this dress! I’m praying that a seamstress will work some magic and make it 2-3 sizes larger. If not, I’m not sure what will happen. But I am sure that I won’t back down on my bodybuilding goals. Nor will I diet to fit into a dress that I’ll be wearing for one day!
So let’s forget the dress stress for now and focus on the shoes.
With kicks this cute, who needs a dress anyways? 😉
Have a WONDERFUL weekend! Love and hugs! <3
Questions for you:
What grocery products are you loving/eating right now?
Chocolate with nuts or no nuts?
If you’re married, what were your wedding colors? If you’re not, what colors do you think you’ll use (if that day comes, ha!)
IF that day comes for me, I’ll probably pick yellow, pink and orange!
If you’ve ever been in a wedding, did you love or hate the dress you wore? Share your stories!
